“A” ranked from State of Florida

fl-depart-edu2St. Petersburg Collegiate High School is an “A” rated Pinellas County public charter high school of choice, focused on students’ academic success in simultaneously earning a high school diploma, an Associate in Arts degree, and a Bright Futures scholarship.  The school has earned an “A” from the state of Florida every year, since the school opened in 2004.

The ranking is provided by the Florida Department of Education who serves as the single repository of education data from school districts, state and community colleges, universities, and independent postsecondary institutions in the State of Florida.

2016 Best High Schools

St. Petersburg Collegiate High School is among the nation’s top-ranked secondary schools.

U.S. News & World Report named St. Petersburg Collegiate High School to its prestigious list of “2015 Best High Schools” and awarded St. Petersburg Collegiate High School a bronze medal.

U.S. News & World Report reviewed over 29,000 public high schools across the United States and of those, only 205 Florida schools made the cut. Schools were awarded medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college. Less than 40% of schools reviewed were awarded a graphmedal. Of those schools, 13% received a gold or silver medal and 20% received a bronze medal.  View additional information

America’s Top High Schools 2016

newsweek-header newsweekNewsweek named St. Petersburg Collegiate High School as one of “America’s Top High Schools 2016,” and ranked St. Petersburg Collegiate High School #2 in Florida and #55 in the nation.

The Newsweek High School rankings assess schools based on a broad range of data to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college. A star is given to schools that meet Newsweek’s Equity measure by helping low-income students score at or above average on state assessments. St. Petersburg Collegiate High School has earned this star for meeting the equity measure.
