SPCHS Brings Home 12th Annual Pinellas County Schools Ethics Bowl Title

This past Saturday, December 7th, St. Petersburg Collegiate High School (St. Petersburg/Gibbs) won the 12th Annual Pinellas County Schools' Ethics Bowl competition. Coached by SPCHS alum Sydney Corragio, the team made up of Grace McKaveney, Alexis Young, Heather Andrasik, and Kim Tran defeated Clearwater Central Catholic in the final round to win the competition. Other schools that competed included St. Petersburg High School, East Lake High School, and Dixie Hollins High School. With this victory, SPCHS will compete next in a virtual Ethics Bowl competition to have a chance to compete in the National competition at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill in the spring. We are very proud of the hard work our team put into preparing for this competition. We are also grateful at the leadership of Sydney Corragio and the support of teacher sponsor- Mr. Walch. Senior Raelyn White Earns Beach Volleyball Scholarship

Congratulations to SPCHS Senior Raelyn White (St. Petersburg/Gibbs campus) for signing with Florida State University to play beach volleyball.

Some of her highlights include:
-Currently ranked #1 in USAV 18U Florida for the last year and currently #4 in the nation (hit #1 at different points during the year). Was #1 in both 16U and 18U last year in Florida.
-First in American Beach Tour 16U in 2017 (the only year of the tour)
-1st in High School beach championship “Beach and Boards Fest” 2019 representing SPCHS
-1st in Eastern Sands Power League (ESPL) 18U 2019 Winter Finals in Gulf Shores, AL
