Florida Department of Education “Schools of Excellence” Designation

The ranking is provided by the Florida Department of Education who serves as the single repository of education data from school districts, state and community colleges, universities, and independent postsecondary institutions in the State of Florida.

St. Petersburg Collegiate High School Named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School

The U.S. Department of Education recognized St. Petersburg Collegiate High School as an Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon school for 2023.

Our school is one of 353 schools in the nation and one of 13 schools from Florida to be recognized in 2023. In addition, it was among the state’s highest-performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests.


2023-2024 US News “Best High Schools”

U.S. News & World Report named St. Petersburg Collegiate High School to its prestigious list of “2023 Best High Schools” and awarded St. Petersburg Collegiate High School a bronze medal.

The U.S. News rankings include data on nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. In addition to traditional high schools, the rankings encompass charter; magnet; and science, technology, engineering and math-focused schools. Read More

State of Florida Department of Education School of Excellence 2023

The Florida Department of Education named St. Petersburg Collegiate High School as one of  its Schools of Excellence for 2023.

Section 1003.631, Florida Statutes, requires the State Board to designate a school as a School of Excellence if the school’s percentage of possible points earned in its school grade calculation is in the 80th percentile or higher for schools comprised of the same grade groupings (elementary, middle, high and combination) for at least two of the last three school years. This program was created by the 2017 Florida Legislature.
